Regular exercising should be paired with healthy dieting. Experts recommend performing exercises at least 30 minutes per session. And it should be done at least three times a week. Doing it lower than that may fail to deliver results. However, this doesn't necessarily mean you need to pay for gym access. A trimmer waistline doesn't have to involve breaking the bank.

Of all the types of exercises, aerobics are best for burning off unwanted calories and fats. They make both your heart and respiratory rates go up. Don't think that doing crunches or other abdominal exercises all day long will shrink your protruding stomach. Spot reduction of fats is a huge myth. However, doing abdominal exercises is also important. As your tummy fats shrink, you need firmer and toner abdominal muscles to tighten the area. Some effective abdominal exercises include crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, squats and the like. Make it a habit, too, to pull your tummy in whether standing up or sitting down.

All it takes is adapting a healthier lifestyle - a proper mix of healthy eating habits and regular exercising.
